Energy-level repulsion by spin-orbit coupling in two-dimensional Rydberg excitons

We study the effects of Rashba spin-orbit coupling on two-dimensional Rydberg exciton systems. Using analytical and numerical arguments we demonstrate that this coupling considerably modifies the wave functions and leads to a level repulsion that results in a deviation from the Poissonian statistics of the adjacent level distance distribution. This signifies the crossover to non-integrability of the system and hints on the possibility of quantum chaos emerging. Such a behavior strongly differs from the classical realization, where spin-orbit coupling produces highly entangled, chaotic electron trajectories in an exciton. Steering between level repulsion and attraction: broad tunability of two-port driven cavity magnon-polaritons

Abstract Cavity-magnon polaritons (CMPs) are the associated quasiparticles of the hybridization between cavity photons and magnons in a magnetic sample placed in a microwave resonator. In the strong coupling regime, where the macroscopic coupling strength exceeds the individual dissipation, there is a coherent exchange of information. This renders CMPs as promising candidates for future applications such as in information processing. On the statistics of pairs of logarithms of integers

We study the statistics of pairs of logarithms of positive integers at various scalings, either with trivial weights or with weights given by the Euler function, proving the existence of pair correlation functions. We prove that at the linear scaling, which is not the usual scaling by the inverse of the average gap, the pair correlations exhibit a level repulsion similar to radial distribution functions of fluids. We prove total loss of mass phenomena at superlinear scalings, and constant nonzero asymptotic behavior at sublinear scalings. Elementary excitations in superfluidH3e-H4emixtures

We have studied the dynamic structure function of superfluid $^{3}\text{H}\text{e-}^{4}\text{H}\text{e}$ mixtures at zero temperature as a function of pressure and $^{3}\text{H}\text{e}$ concentration. Results obtained in the full random-phase approximation (RPA) plus density-functional theory and in a generalized Landau-Pomeranchuk approach are presented and compared with experiment. Analytic expressions for several sum rules of the dynamic structure functions have been determined, and have been used to obtain average energies of the collective excitations.
